By: Jonas N. Panerio July 25,2015 - 12:56 AM

THE SACRED Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu face the indomitable task of toppling a dominant University of San Carlos (USC) squad as the two teams square off for the title in the Passerelle division of the Cebu leg of the Milo-backed BEST Tournament tomorrow at the Cebu City Sports Institute.

Game time is set at 10 a.m. with the odds firmly stacked against the Magis Eagles, who won five straight Cebu crowns from 2007 to 2011 but have yet to climb back up to the peak since then. The

Baby Warriors on the other hand, had a taste of the Cebu crown two years ago and are raring to reclaim the throne behind a well-balanced team loaded with talent at every position.

The Baby Warriors have been peerless so far in the tournament, winning by an average margin of 31 points capped by a 67-30 blowout of the Cebu Eastern College Dragons in the semifinals.

Among the weapons Reroma is expected to deploy in the finals are big men Briedyn Smith and Steven Mendoza, and guards Jhollo Pakanna, Neon Chavez and Daniel Rodriguez.

The Magis Eagles though, are not expected to just roll over and fight to the end behind their core of promising wingman Coco Tuadles, Mark Dumandan, Michael Cutamora, John Aguilar and Andre Chua.

The winner of tomorrow’s finals will advance to the Visayas regionals which will be held in Bacolod. The champion in that competition will earn the right to represent the region in the national finals in Baguio City at the end of the year.
