Police are looking into the death of a Belgian national in his car in barangay Casay, Dalaguete town Saturday afternoon.

Andre Josef Emiel Scheepmans, 54, from Leuven, Belgium but was residing in Hacienda Firenze in Maghaway,

Talisay City, was already dead when police arrived. He came from Oslob town and was on his way home to Talisay City.

His Toyota Innova rammed the railings of the road. The front doors were locked but the back doors were not.
Police were surprised to see his nose bleeding. In his right hand was a .22 caliber pistol with seven ammunition and one spent shell.

SPO3 Cleto Pias said they checked the  body of the foreigner but they did not find any wound.

Pias said the foreigner may have pulled the trigger through his mouth and the bullet is embedded in his head.

At around 5:45 p.m. Saturday, a foreigner went to the police station to report that his friend called him to inform that he figured in an accident.

Inside the vehicle, Pias said they found a summon issued by the barangay inviting Scheepmans for a hearing last July 27 for a slight physical injury case filed by his common law wife, Analou Aying.

Aying also went to the police station with their young daughter but did not issue any statement to the police.
