ALA Promotions International’s first fight card in the US just got more exciting.

This after longest-reigning Filipino world champion Donnie “Ahas” Nietes was added to the list of boxers included in the fight card slated Oct. 17 at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.

The fight card is dubbed “Pinoy Pride 33: Filipinos Contra Latinos.”

Nietes, the current World Boxing Organization (WBO) light-flyweight champion, will be joining the Pagara brothers, Jason (36-2, 22KOs) and Albert  (27-0, 14KOs) and Boholano Mark “Magnifico” Magsayo in the US fight.

The 33-year-old Nietes  defended his title against  former world champion Francisco “Chihuas” Rodriguez Jr. here in Cebu recently. He now has a record of 36-1-4 (win-loss-draw) with 21 knockouts.

He defeated minimumweight champion and mandatory flyweight challenger Rodriguez Jr. via an impressive 12-round unanimous decision at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.

The Pagara siblings, meanwhile, are also coming off victories in Dubai, UAE.

Prince Albert Pagara destroyed Jesus Rios via a first-round knockout while older brother Jason scored an eight-round technical decision over Ramiro Alcaraz.

Magsayo (11-0, 9KOs), on the other hand, clinched the IBF International Boxing Federation (IBF) Youth Featherweight title last July 11 in the co-main event of the Nietes-Rodriguez Jr. fight card by knocking out Mexican  Rafael “El Guerrerito” Reyes in the fifth round.

Opponents of the ALA  bets for Pinoy Pride 33 are yet to be known but is expected to be divulged today in a press launching at the Montebello Hotel.
