policeA 16-year-old boy in Lapu-Lapu City was found dead at home with  a gunshot wound in the forehead which  police said appeared self-inflicted.

Ryan Culi was found by his  mother, who said she was washing clothes outside when she heard a loud blast  around 10 a.m. yesterday.

Renilda, the boy’s mother, said she rushed into the house and found a bloodied Ryan in the house’s extension.

Ryan’s father Godofredo Culi told police his son seemed despondent after he broke up with his girlfriend two days ago. The father said he didn’t know where his son got hold of the gun.  He said Ryan didn’t have any vices.
Police said there were no signs of foul play in the death.
