Cebu City celebrates Korea Day at Ayala Center Cebu

Cebu City Korea Day (1)

Celebrating friendship amid cultural diversity, the Cebu City Government, in partnership with Ayala Center Cebu and Cebu Korean Association, will hold the Cebu City Korea Day on Saturday, October 3, 6 p.m. at The Terraces of Ayala Center Cebu.

Witness performances from all-male K-Pop sensation FameUs. Plus, get a chance to enjoy a meet-and-greet session with the group after the show when you purchase their album. Pre-event selling starts at 2 p.m.

The celebration, which is also in cooperation with the Cebu City Tourism Commission, will feature a series of activities on the first week of October to let Cebuanos discover Korea’s vibrant culture, exquisite food and inspiring tradition.

Korean Culture Exhibit

Drop by The Gallery from October 3 to 8 and learn about the fascinating culture of one of East Asia’s fastest growing countries. Wear the hanbok or the traditional Korean dress, witness rice cake making, decorate your lamp using traditional Korean paper and experience other interactive activities.

Korean Food Festival

There’s more to love than kimchi, bibimbap and bulgogi. Treat your palate to a gastronomic delight and explore Korea’s wide array of cuisines rooted in ancient philosophy at the Korean Food Festival from October 2 to 4 at The Terraces.  Discover the idea behind the theory of yin and yang, and the balance of the five elements in a traditional Korean table.

Cebu K-pop Star

Witness high-intensity performances and experience the whole K-Pop phenomenon at the Cebu K-Pop Star Finals night on Friday, October 2, 6PM at The Terraces of Ayala Center Cebu. About 45 finalists will battle it out to become this year’s ultimate K-Pop star. Witness the performance of the all-female Korean K-Pop group, Queen.

There’s more to explore at the region’s premier destination for shopping, dining and entertainment.
