Consolacion Fiesta Run registration begins
THE REGISTRATION for the Consolacion Fiesta Run will start today at separate sites.
Interested participants can sign up for the Oct. 25 race at either the RUNNR at the Ayala Center Cebu, SM City Consolacion and Infinitea at the City Times Square in Mandaue City.
The race starts and ends at the SM City Consolacion grounds.
The running event is held in line with the town’s annual fiesta celebration. It is organized by the local government in partnership with SM City Consolacion, Smart Telecom and Coco running.
This will be the first time the town will hold its very own running event.
Distances to be offered are 10-kilometer, 5k, 3k and 100-meter dash.
The 10k and 5k registration fee is pegged at P450 inclusive of the singlet, bib, finishers medal and refreshments after the race. The 3k and 100m dash fee is pegged at P350. Those who register before Oct. 16 will be able to avail of the singlet. After that, P100 will be slashed from the registration fee but no singlet will be given.
Race director Joel Juarez of Coco Running is expecting to draw around a thousand runners to join this running event.
Juarez also said medals will be given to finishers in all distances. There will also be exciting prizes for the top performing runners in the 10k and 5k distances.
