Supporters of  Bando Osmeña-Pundok Kauswagan (BO-PK)   filled a portion of Osmeña Boulevard leading to the Cebu City office of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) as  candidates filed their certificates before noon yesterday.

Clad in yellow T-shirts, they cheered as  BO-PK founder and former mayor Tomas Osmeña, running mate Councilor Nestor Archival and other candidates submitted their certificates of candidacy (COCs).

They  attended  9:30 a.m. Mass at St. Therese Parish in barangay Apas then gathered  at Plaza Independencia and walked about 100 meters to the Comelec Cebu City offices to file their COCs.

This temporarily disrupted traffic flow in the area.

Candidates under Team Rama of Mayor Michael Rama will file their COCs this morning.

Osmeña lost by about 6,000 votes to Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama, a former ally, in the 2013 election.

Last Monday, the BO-PK celebrated Mass at the San Pedro Calungsod Chapel where they later drew flak for presenting their candidates in front of the altar, for which Osmeña later apolgized, saying he meant no disrespect.
