A TAXI DRIVER and his brother were arrested after they allegedly conspired to rob an Indian national in Liloan town, northern Cebu.

Ferdinand Armenton, 30, and his 29-year-old brother Francis were arrested shortly after Satgu Rodass, 34, reported the incident to the police.

Rodass told police that he boarded a Six Taxi driven by Ferdinand and asked to be brought to Liloan where he lives.

Rodass said that while on their way to the destination, he was surprised when another man boarded the taxi and sat beside him at the backseat.

Rodass claimed he was struck in the head with a piece of wood  before his P10,000 and $300 were taken.

The Indian national was abandoned in barangay Yati. He rushed to the police station to seek help.

PO3 Jason Gayo said the two brothers were arrested in a hot-pursuit operation.
