AFTER HIS spectacular debut this year, Cebuano amateur pugilist Kevin Jake “Kj” Cataraja will see action anew as he takes on Indonesian journeyman Faris Nenggo in the undercard of Pinoy Pride 34: Back with a Vengeance on Nov. 18 at the Hoops Dome in Lapu-Lapu City.
This will serve as Cataraja’s second professional bout after he entered the professional boxing scene last July 11 with a sixth-round knockout victory over another Indonesian, Ardi Tefa.
Nenggo lost to Froilan Saludar via a fifth-round technical knockout for the vacant WBO Intercontinental flyweight title earlier this year.
Also featured in the undercard are two of ALA’s former world title challengers, Aj “Bazooka” Banal and Rocky “Road Warrior” Fuentes. Banal takes on Tanzania’s Emelio Norfat while Fuentes faces Afrizal Tamboresi of Indonesia.
In the main event, former world title challenger Milan “El Metodico” Melindo will face Carlos Fontes of Mexico for the World Boxing Organization (WBO) International light-flyweight title while ”King” Arthur Villanueva will exchange blows with Victor “Spock” Mendez for the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) super International flyweight belt in the co-main event.
