DPWH to assess SM Seaside Complex compliance to building code
THE Department of Public Works and Highways conducted an assessment of the South Road Properties (SRP) area surrounding the SM Seaside Complex development earlier today.
DPWH legal counsel Brando Raya said their team of engineers are verifying if SM complied with requirements of the National Building Code or Republic Act 6541.
He said the property line of SM Seaside Complex begins after the 10 meter stretch but the code states that the building should have started after another eight meter setback.
Raya said the national road should be 36 meters in length. From the road, there is another 10 meter stretch of road for bicycle lanes, public sidewalks and expansions.
