Game today:
Mall of Asia
3:30 p.m. – FEU vs UST

SOME OF CEBU’S finest collegiate basketball products are set to go for the UAAP’s biggest crown as the Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws do battle in Game 1 of the Season 78 UAAP Finals against the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Growling Tigers today at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Tamaraws, a powerhouse squad teeming with southern-bred talent, are seeking redemption after falling short of the crown last year against the National University Bulldogs.

Head coach Nash Racela is expected to lean on a veteran crew that boasts of the likes of Talisay City-native Roger Pogoy, former Southwestern University Cobra Monbert Arong, ex-Cebu Eastern College Dragon Raymar Jose, ex-University of the Visayas Baby Lancer Ron Dennison and ex-University of Cebu sniper Al Francis Tamsi.

FEU needs to solve the puzzle that UST has posed this season after the Growling Tigers won both of their elimination round games. The Growling Tigers first eked past the Tamaraws, 72-71, in the first round before completing the sweep, 85-76, in the second round.

The Growling Tigers will be led by Kevin Ferrer, Louie Vigil, Karim Abdul and Ed Daquioag.
