TWENTY table netters including 13 Cebuanos won their opening matches in boys singles of the Batang Pinoy National Finals at the Capitol Social Hall yesterday.
The 13 Cebuanos come from Cebu City, Mandaue City, and Danao City teams.
Mandaue City led the Cebuano surge with six qualifiers namely Niño Apa, Henze Lucero, Henrique Ypon, Jet Bacalso, James Tampus, and James Grancapaz.
Cebu City, meanwhile, has four and Danao City has two.
Winners in girls singles incllude Cebu City’s Erika Villanueva and Mikylla Therese, Mandaue’s Erica Salera, Cebu Province’s Joy Dadula, and Danao City’s Rikki Prosia, Crystal Canoos, and Kathlyn Gabisay.
Only 4 pairs from the Niños, Mandaue, and Cebu Province also advanced in the mixed doubles category.
