Japanese hurt in road accident

A Japanese woman was hit by a motorcycle as she walked on the roadside barangay Camputhaw, Cebu City on Monday night.

Yuyu Oki, 22, was rushed to a private hospital where she was confined for treatment.

The accident happened near the Capitol Parish in Escario Street, Cebu City at 9 p.m.

The motorcycle driver, Wesley Mendoza, 23, of barangay Guadalupe, was chased by the police and was eventually arrested.

Mendoza was later found to be driving without a driver’s license.

He was detained at the Guadalupe police station pending the filing of charges.
