SEASON Cebuano grapplers and mixed martial artists collide in the first-ever HASI Submission Grappling Challenge today at the SM City Cebu Trade Hall.
Organized by HASI, a local clothing and apparel brand, the tournament is an all-submission tournament and will not use a point system in every match.
The tournament will have a no-GI and kimono rule which is open for BJJ, MMA, wrestling and grappling practitioners.
“This is a trial run as we are planning a bigger tournament later this year,” said Keeno Jingco of HASI.
The main card will feature Mikhail Wu of Deftac Cebu versus Elmar Valmores of Over The Limit BJJ, while John Dulap of 98 BJJ will face Firoze Singh of Deftac while teammate Duane Gacasan of Deftac and Yaw-Yan ArDigma will battle veteran MMA fighter in Arnel Ylanan of 90/Eight BJJ.
