IN LINE with their thrust to develop the 3-on-3 game, the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) will be conducting a workshop called the “Pambansang Tatluhan” tomorrow at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu in Canduman, Mandaue City.
The workshop will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free and inclusive of lunch. The workshop will cover tournament mechanics and format, tournament conduct and techniques, marketing schemes, operational management and calendar of activities.
The 3×3 game is a fast-rising segment of basketball that the SBP is focused on developing especially after the country hosted two Asia Pacific tournaments that attracted the best players from the region.
Attendees will come from Local Government Units, the Department of Education, clubs, teams, referees and leagues.
Speakers will be FIBA Commissioner Hector Villanueva, SBP Deputy Executive Director Bernie Atienza and project official Jomar Benedicto.
Cebu is also being eyed to host the SBP 3-on-3 under-16 Pambansang Tatluhan tournament later this year.
