A 69-YEAR-OLD woman died after the habal-habal (motorcycle-for-hire) she was riding crashed along a national highway in Barangay Basak, Samboan town, southern Cebu.
Zosima Dingal suffered head injuries. She was declared dead at the Samboan District Hospital.
Police said the woman had bought a sack of rice at the town public market then rode a habal-habal driven by Charles Gutib, 26, to take her home.
Police said Gutib was negotiating a curve when he lost control of the motorcycle. Gutib was injured in the crash.
