Jeepney catches fire in the middle of the street

A passenger jeepney plying the 13C Talamban to Colon route caught fire along Archbishop Reyes Avenue, barangay Barrio Luz, Cebu City at 2:45 pm Wednesday.
Barrio Luz barangay tanod Delfin Ventura said the fire gutted the passenger jeepney while it was headed to Colon from barangay Talamban.
Two barangay mini-firetrucks were dispatched to the area, after the jeepney paralyzed traffic there.
The passengers said the fire may have originated from the jeepney’s engine.
Ventura said they have yet to identify the jeepney driver.
He said they called on the Cebu City Fire Station to investigate the incident.
