A school teacher was injured after her car overturned when she tried to avoid a motorcycle as she was cruising along the South Road Properties (SRP) at 12:30 p.m. yesterday.

Sheila Franco, 36, was driving her Mitsubishi Adventure heading to Cebu City from her residence in Talisay City when she figured in the accident.

Police said Franco tried to evade a motorcycle, who suddenly cut into her lane, making her  lose control of her vehicle, crash into the center island, and causing her vehicle to overturn.

Franco was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

In another road accident earlier in the day, a container van transporting high beams to Barangay Tingub, Mandaue City fell on its side near the North Bus Terminal in Barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City.

The container van blocked four lanes of the road and caused heavy traffic in the area starting at 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. yesterday. No one was injured in the road mishap.
