A MAN pretended to be a policeman and robbed a 17-year-old girl in Barangay Tabunok, Talisay City, southern Cebu last Tuesday afternoon.
Edgar Ricardo, 31, was arrested by police in a hot-pursuit operation.
Police said Ricardo met the girl along the road and posed as a policeman by showing a police badge.
The man then took the girl’s laptop and other gadgets. The girl sought help from the police, who later spotted the man in Tabunok with a fake police badge hanging around his neck.
Two fake police badges and electronic gadgets worth P20,000 were seized from the man, said PO3 Junyl Ater of the Talisay City Police Station.
