Should he become governor, One Cebu gubernatorial bet Winston Garcia promised to establish a center for senior citizens in all towns and cities in the province which they can use as a venue for meetings and special gatherings.

He also said he plans for the provincial government to purchase maintenance medicine for seniors in bulk so it can avail of a volume discount.

“There will be a 40 to 50 percent volume discount. So if you’re paying one peso for your maintenance now, you’ll be paying 50 centavos soon,” he told more than 70 members of the Candaguit Senior Citizens’ Association of Barangay Candaguit, Sibonga town yesterday.

The seniors, most of whom claimed to be first-timers in the city, had lunch at the Politics Café in Escario Central.

Also present during the event were One Cebu vice-gubernatorial bet Nerissa Soon-Ruiz.
