Project to bring more jobs to Naga Park

February 21,2016 - 09:34 PM

The 20.9 million road concreting project of Abuno-Guindaruhan road in Minglanilla town is seen to attract more locators to the Naga Valley Industrial Park in Barangay Cantao-an in the City of Naga, southern Cebu.

As stated in the  Capitol statement, the one-kilomenter stretch of road that connects Minglanilla to the City of Naga is seen to help generate 20,000 to 30,000 jobs in southern Cebu with the expected new locators in the industrial park.

The road projects were part of the road improvement projects worth more than P40 million that the Capitol inaugurated last Tuesday.

Gov. Hilario Davide III and Vice Gov. Agnes Magpale attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Abuno Guindaruhan road in Minglanilla and the P19.7 million Sangi-Bugho beltway in San Fernando town in southern Cebu.

According to Barangay Magsico captain Johnny Arriesgado, the road improvement of the Sangi-Bugho road will reduce travel time of residents from the neighboring town of Pinamungajan to Cebu City by 45 minutes.

Aside from Capitol officials, also present during the turnover ceremony at Barangay Magsico in San Fernando were representatives of Taiheiyo Cement Philippines, Inc.(TCPI), led by its Chief Executive Officer Satoshi Azami.

Ethel Natera, Cebu provincial information officer, said in a statement that TCPI donated 42,250 bags of cement for the concreting of the Sangi-Bugho road while

Primary Structure shouldered the cost for the road right of way in Minglanilla town.

“The involvement of the private sectors in these projects is a testament of what private-public partnership can do for the community when anchored on the principles of transparency and good governance,” she said.
