THE ATENEO Lady Eagles notched their sixth straight win after they dumped the University of the East, 25-12, 25-10, 25-10, in the UAAP Season 78 women’s volleyball tournament on Wednesday at The Arena in San Juan.

Setter Julia Morado had an outstanding match as she claimed Best Player of the Game honors with 27 excellent sets laced with four spikes and two blocks. Ateneo has now won an incredible 24 straight games dating back to March of 2014, when they pulled off an incredible upset of La Salle in spite of the latter holding a thrice-to-beat championship advantage. The win also gives the ladies in blue and white momentum heading to their much-anticipated match-up with the Lady Spikers this weekend.

Meanwhile, the Adamson Lady Falcons snapped their four-game losing streak in style as they rebounded from a bad start to upend Far Eastern University in a thrilling five-setter, 21-25, 17-25, 25-19, 25-23, 15-10.
