Donaire to fight Hungarian in WBO title bout in Cebu

Nonito “Filipino Flash” Donaire Jr. will defend his WBO super bantamweight title against Hungarian national Zsolt Bedak for the first time in Cebu on April 23.

Michael Aldageur, ALA Promotions International Chief Executive Officer, said boxing promoter, Top Rank Promotions, and its media partner ABS-CBN agreed to bring the fight to the Cebu Coliseum from its original venue at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Manila.

“This will be the first time for Donaire Jr. to fight here in Cebu,” Aldeguer announced during the Pinoy Pride 35: Stars of the Future press conference held in Cebu City on Thursday.
