AT least 27 persons with pending arrest warrants were rounded up by personnel of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) on Monday morning.
The arrests was part of the CCPO’s warrant day, said Supt. Artemio Ricabo, deputy chief of administration. Ricabo said 853 warrant of arrests have accumulated through the years at the CCPO warrants section.
Most of the warrants were issued for cases like frustrated murder, estafa, gambling, illegal possession of firearms and theft. On Monday morning, city police were able to serve at least 12 of the pending warrants of arrest.
Ricabo said some of the warrants involve more than one person which brought the total number of arrested persons to 27.
