OCQT continues this weekend

THE OPEN Chess Qualifying Tournament (OCQT) will resume this weekend at the activity center of the Elizabeth Mall in downtown Cebu City.

The tournament, which started last week, features some of Cebu’s best non-rated wood pushers gunning for the top two slots for the finals scheduled on March 13.

The tournament will be selecting 12 finalists.

The winning wood pusher this weekend will take home P5,000.  The second placer gets  P3,000 while P2,000 goes to the third placer.

Fourth to 12th placers won’t go home empty-handed as the organizers will be giving them P500 each.

The registration fee for this tournament is pegged at P150 inclusive of the refreshments to be given during the competition.
