A Grade 7 student was found dead in a grassy area in Argao town, southern Cebu at past 12 noon on Monday.
Jezreel Higida, 15, had a wound on her face. A bloodstained rock bigger than a human head was found near the body.
Senior Insp. William Homoc, chief of Argao Police, said the girl may have been raped before she was killed.
Police arrested three men five hours later. Homoc said one of the suspects, 41-year-old Roweno Sarausos, confessed that he saw his two companions rape and kill the girl.
All three are detained at the Argao Police station.
