A 65-year-old woman was rushed to the hospital last Saturday after she was hit by a stray bullet while she was sleeping inside her house in Colis St., Barangay Tabunok, Talisay City, southern Cebu.
Elina Nacario was treated for a gunshot wound in her shoulder at the hospital.
Nacario told the police, who were informed by the hospital staff of the incident, that she was sleeping inside her house when she was awakened by the sound of gunfire.
Moments later, she felt pain on her elbow and noticed that it was bleeding.
Police are investigating the incident and are looking for the person who indiscriminately fired his gun, which led to the wounding of Nacario.
