A 55-year-old man was arrested after police caught him possessing a firearm in a vehicular accident in Barangay Bulacao, Cebu City last Monday morning.
A .38 revolver was recovered from the possession of Lito Abendan, police said.
Police said Abendan was driving a motorcycle when he hit another motorcycle in Saint Jude Acres.
PO1 Rodel Generoso along with two barangay tanods checked on the accident and saw something bulging in Abendan’s waistline.
PO1 Generoso ended up arresting Abendan when he found out that the motorist was armed.
Police said Abendan will be charged for violating Republic Act 10591 and the election gun ban.
