A man shot and wounded a 43-year-old woman and robbed her inside her home last Saturday in Sitio Malbago, Barangay Luyang, Carmen town in northern Cebu.
Mercy Faridla May, who sustained a gunshot wound on her shoulder, was recuperating in a Cebu City hospital.
According to police, May recognized the robber, whom she identified as Bonjie Cabilin, who was an acquaintance.
Cabilin took her newly withdrawn cash worth P18,000 and a necklace worth P4,500.
May told police someone knocked at her door and when she opened it, Cabilin shot her.
Cabilin then asked for her cash and necklace and fled after taking the loot. Police were still looking for Cabilin.
