Cebuano coach wants Bakers back in Finals

By: Jonas N. Panerio March 28,2016 - 10:13 PM

IN SPITE of their convincing victory in the series opener, Café France’s Cebuano head coach remains  in the moment as he aims to steer the Bakers back to the finals when they take on Tanduay in Game 2 of the PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup semifinals today at the San Juan Arena.

The Bakers rose above the Rhum Masters, 65-58, in Game 1 and are seeking a sweep today.

“”Walang mangyayari pag di namin nakuha yung second game,” said the former stalwart of the University of San Jose-Recoletos. (Nothing’s going to happen if we don’t win the second game.)  “We’re now one win away from our first goal, which is to make it to the championship and we want to finish it up.”

Tanduay isn’t about to surrender that easily as they gun for an equalizer behind the performances of veterans Val Acuna, Rudy Lingganay, and JP Belencion. Game time is at 2 p.m.
