Pagnanawon brothers shine in Camotes race

THE PAGNANAWON brothers, Jhunvie and Jay Bop, put up impressive performances in the 11th San Francisco Camotes Cross-Country Mountain Bike Challenge last Sunday in Camotes Island, Cebu.

Jhunvie topped the combined Juniors-Seniors category of the in a 35-kilometer race as he finished in one hour, eight minutes and 19.68 seconds. Jay Bop clocked 1:08:19.80 to finish third. Jonel Carcueva came in second place, finishing in 1:08:19.74.

Meanwhile, Joseph Carcueva dominated the veterans’ category clocking 1:10:14.50 while Dongkey Sanchez ruled the Masters’ class in 1:06:14.10. Alvin dela Torre won the beginners’ category in 1:08:19.68 while Rome Sanchez emerged victorious in the Golden class, clocking 1:14:08.89. Jimboy Batad bested the Executive’s category (1:09:47.38) while Pamela Jane Ruiz reigned in the Women’s class (1:37:16.39).

In the Camotes Bikers division, Ronie Galon claimed the Category A top finish by clocking 1:21:49.01 while Roger Reguilla triumphed in Category B (1:40:21.50).
