A call center agent drowned during his 19th birthday celebration last Sunday in a resort in Barangay Tan-awan, Oslob town in southern Cebu.
Diego Rabusa, who didn’t know how to swim, was found dead at the bottom of the swimming pool by his coworkers.
At 6 p.m., Rabusa’s coworkers, who couldn’t found Rabusa at the resort, thought that Rabusa was taking a nap at their parked service vehicle.
But at 7 p.m., Elmer Echavez, a coworker, found the victim’s body at the bottom of the resort’s swimming pool.
Rabusa was rushed to the hospital but doctors there declared him dead on arrival.
Police, however, were still investigating the incident to find out if there was any foul play in Rabusa’s death.
