POLICE arrested 16 persons and confiscated several firearms and illegal drugs in separate operations on Holy Thursday.
The first operation happened on Thursday morning when police served search warrants for the houses of Charlie Pogoy and Ariel Menguito in Barangay Poblacion, Cordova, which led to the arrest of Pogoy and Menguito and the confiscation of several packs of suspected shabu, a .38 revolver and a .357 revolver.
In the evening that day, police raided the house of Marmar Quirante in Sitio Camagong, Barangay Lahug, Cebu City where they found several packs of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia.
Police also arrested Quirante and 13 others who were in the vicinity of Quirante’s house.
