THE University of the Visayas (UV) Green Lancers dominated the University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters, 95-66, to bag the championship in the San Fernando Fiesta Invitational Basketball Cup in Barangay Pitalo, San Fernando town, south Cebu on Thursday night.
After a tight 20-12 first period, the Green Lancers began imposing themselves in the second canto where they outscored UC, 23-11, to build an imposing 43-23 advantage at halftime.
Team captain Josue Segumpan paced UV with 15 points, 11 rebounds and four assists.
Rey Suerte was equally impressive with his 15 points, seven boards and five dimes, while Jun Manzo and one-time RP Youth Team member Leonard Santillan added 12 and 11 points, respectively.
Geleant Delator led UC with 22 points.
