FOUR bundles of dried marijuana leaves worth around P220,000 were turned over by a bus conductor to the police last Sunday afternoon.

Police Senior Insp. Janelito Marquez of the City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group said the dried marijuana leaves weighing four kilograms are worth P220,000 based on the assessed value of the Dangerous Drugs Board.

Juvy Espino, a Ceres bus conductor, said the  dried marijuana leaves were inside a black bag that was left inside a parked Ceres bus in their garage in Mandaue Reclamation Area in the first week of February.

Espino said they inspected the bag yesterday, after nobody came forward to claim the package.

Espino then informed  the North Bus terminal guard, who in turn called the Subangdaku police.

Responding policemen led by SPO2 Remegio Arciaga Jr. took the bag, which also contained maong pants, short pants, a t-shirt and a blanket, to the police station.

The dried marijuana leaves were brought to the PNP Crime Laboratory for examination.
