A 42-year-old woman was wounded in the mouth after she was hit by a stray bullet last Friday while preparing food for the birthday of her mother at their house in Barangay Camp 4, Talisay City southern Cebu.
Maricel Nacua was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Richard Nacua, husband, told PO3 Junel Ater of Talisay City Police that Maricel was preparing food for the birthday of her mother at 5 a.m. when she suddenly fell on the ground bleeding on the face.
Richard said they didn’t know that she was shot until doctors told them at the hospital that the wound was a gunshot wound.
Ater said they were still investigating the incident.
