FORMER congressman and mayor Eduardo Gullas has officially won over incumbent Talisay City Mayor Johnny V. Delos Reyes.
Gullas garnered 58,068 votes against delos Reyes’s 22,855 votes as his Team Alayon slate swept the City Council leaving only Val Ylanan as the lone winner outside the party with 41,977 votes.
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) proclaimed the winners of Talisay City at 10 a.m.
Meanwhile, it’s a sweep for Team Alayon except for one, Val Ylannan who ran under Liberal Party. She garnered 41,977.
Councilors from Team Alayon include Teban Daan (51,331), Richard Francis Aznar (49,734), Soc Fernandez (48,484), Rodolfo Cabigas (39,120), Doroteo Emit (36,900), Antonio Jr. Bacaltos (35,986), Arturo Bas (35,845), Manuel Cabriana (33,131) and Gail Restauro (30,292).
