Trike driver gunned down in Talisay

A TRICYCLE driver who was implicated in a Christmas Day killing was shot dead in barangay Lawaan II, Talisay City in southern Cebu.

Manuel Cana, 45, was twice hit in the back after a still-unidentified assailant shot him while he was driving his tricycle Monday afternoon.

The gunman boarded a tricycle and fled. The victim was taken to the Talisay City District Hospital where he was declared dead by doctors.

Insp. Rodgene Fodutan of the Talisay City Police Station said the victim was tagged as a suspect in the killing of Carlota Cana and his son, Christian.

Christian was sleeping in his room when the assailant barged in and shot him. Carlota was also shot when she yelled for help.

Police said no charges were filed since no complaint was filed.

Fudotan since they are looking into the possibility that the recent attack had something to do with the Christmas Day killing.
