PANTINO STUMBLES

By: John Carlo Villaruel June 02,2016 - 10:21 PM

CEBUANO racquet-wielder Arthur Craig Pantino encountered a brick wall in hometown bet Fitriadi M. Rifqi and lost, 3-6, 2-6, in the opening round of the AGS 5 International Junior Championships yesterday in Jakarta, Indonesia.

However, the 15-year-old Pantino still has a chance of bagging a trophy as he teams up with compatriot John Bryan Otico in doubles which starts today.

The fifth-ranked Otico who hails from Maramag, Bukidnon is the only Filipino left in singles play after enjoying an opening round bye. He opens against Steven Poedji of Indonesia today.
