Shooting suspect nabbed

A 30-year-old man suspected of shooting down a man and wounding two others in Barangay Guizo, Mandaue City was arrested hours after the incident last Wednesday evening.

Police identified the suspect as Asecino Tagalog, a resident of sitio Sto. Nino in Barangay Guizo. He is detained at the Subangdaku police precinct pending the filing of charges against him.

Tagalog was arrested along Gorordo Avenue fronting JY Square Mall in Barangay Lahug by a team from the Investigation and Detection Management Branch.

The victim identified as Ramsey Dequilla, also a resident of sitio Sta. Cruz was shot in an altercation after he got upset with someone who took a photo of him.

Two others wounded by the stray bullets were Bryan Roldan and Roda Guinto, both of barangay Guizo. Dequilla died on arrival at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center due to a gunshot wound on the chest. Roldan and Guinto were rushed to the Mandaue City Hospital and UC Medical Center respectively.
