A BULK water supply firm that can supply 6,000 cubic meters of water a day was inaugurated at Casuntingan, Mandaue City yesterday.
Cabancalan Bulk Water Supply of Abejo Waters Corp. (AWC) with Mightybee De
velopment Corp. can supply 6,000 cubic meters of water daily to the Metro Cebu Water District (MCWD), acting MCWD general manager Engr. Noel Dalena said.
The Cabancalan Bulk Water Supply already started serving the consumers in Mandaue last Saturday. Consumer will only pay P15 per cubic meter for the water from AWC.
Dalena said the Cabancalan well can also supply water to V.Rama, Urgello, and Pasil.
Engr. Gabino Abejo Jr., president of AWC said while their contract with MCWD is 6,000 cubic meters per day, they can still add 2,000 cubic meters if MCWD will demand additional volume of water.
Outgoing Mandaue Mayor Jonas Cortes said he is thankful to AWC because it is a big help especially to barangay halls since they will provide water to barangay halls and fire trucks for free./Correspondent Julit Jainar
