Pantino to miss two big tournaments

CEBUANO rising netter Arthur Craig Pantino won’t be seeing action in two major International Tennis Federation (ITF) tournaments later this month in Bangkok, Thailand.

This as the the 15-year-old Pantino, ranked by the Philippine Tennis Association (PHILTA) as the country’s top 16-and-under player last month, got infected with chickenpox.

Because of this, he will be missing the LTAT ITF Junior Grade 4 Week 1 and 2 competitions on June 20-25 and June 27-July 2, respectively.

A few weeks ago, Pantino and his partner John Bryan Otico put up a decent performance and finished with a silver in the AGS 5 International Junior Tennis Championships in Indonesia.
