Rich Catsup takes lead

HOST team Rich Catsup grabbed the lead after four legs of the ongoing Rich Catsup Midyear Bowling Tournament held Friday night at the SM City Cebu Bowling Center.

Rich Catsup finished the three game series with 2,459 pinfalls while Cebu Tenpin Bowling Association (CETBA) Five Star settled for second with 2,409 pinfalls. E.O Bucoy Consultants is in third spot with 2,405.

Nestor Longcanaya led Rich Catsup with 190 pinfalls while Ging Francisco and Omar Marsangca added 179 and 175 pinfalls, respectively.

Despite placing second, CETBA Five Star scored the highest pinfall in a single game by downing 889 pins led by Jericho Jumapao’s 252. He was named the highest individual scorer of the competition.

Rounding off the top eight teams are: Reggie’s Angels (2,388), Cebu Institute of Technology-University (2,378), Hammerluck Team (2,351), 55-AB (2,275) and D’ Achievers Team (2,241).

Hammerluck’s Cristilyn Tan scored 181 pinfalls and was named the highest scoring female individual.

The fifth leg will be on June 24 at the same venue while the rest of the legs are on July 1 and 8.
