2 drug suspects arrested in Toledo, Camotes town

ABOUT P300,000 worth of illegal drugs were confiscated from two drug suspects in separate drug raids in Toledo City, southwest Cebu and San Francisco town on Camotes Island.

James Mark Sampan, 19, of Barangay Sunog, San Francisco, was arrested by the town’s policemen led by Insp. Philip John Libres in a buy-bust operation around 9 p.m. on Monday.

Confiscated from the suspect were five medium-sized and two small packs of alleged shabu worth P296,770 based on Dangerous Drugs Board value and the P200 marked money used in buy-bust.

In Toledo City, a 30-year-old drug pusher was also arrested in a buy-bust operation around 8 p.m. on Monday.

The suspect was identified as Valdemar Alferez, of Barangay Poblacion, Toledo City.

The Toledo City police confiscated two medium-sized sachets and two small sachets containing alleged shabu and P1,600 cash believed to be the proceeds of an illegal drug trade.
