Two nabbed, P300K worth of drugs seized in Medellin

TWO persons were arrested and P300,000 worth of drugs were seized in a joint operation by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the police in Sitio Tac-an, Barangay Kawit in Medellin town at 9:50 a.m. Thursday.

The group arrested drug suspects Adrian Debutak and Ernie Barro and confiscated 100 grams of shabu and assorted firearms from their possession.

Senior Supt. Marlon Tayaba, head of the Criminal Intelligence and Detection Group in Central Visayas (CIDG 7) said a third suspect identified as Jerry Barro eluded arrest despite sustaining wounds in a shootout with police.

Confiscated from the suspects were one 9 mm pistol, one 45 pistol, several other pistols, one hand grenade, two P100 bills, drug proceeds worth P950, assorted bullets and drug paraphernalia.
