Charges filed against 12 men in Lahug drug raid

Charges were filed against 12 men arrested by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) before the Regional Trial Court Thursday afternoon.

The twelve men (12) were arrested during a drug raid last June 11 at a drug den in La Guardia Street, Barangay Lahug, Cebu City.

The raid yielded drug paraphernalia and sachets of suspected shabu weighing 50 grams, with a street value of P89,000. The house was owned by brothers Nelson and Samuel Naranja.

Samuel managed to escape while Nelson was arrested during the raid, together with 11 other men, namely Melchizedek Canoy, David Leoric Casinillo, Jet John Abellar, Cristino Perater, William Yong, Dominic Guevara, Patrick Hermoso, James Bogle, Kenneth Mariano, Josef Escario and Anthony Gacad.
