MAINE Mendoza and Alden Richards during their 11th monthsary celebration in “Eat Bulaga”
PREPARE your loudest cheer and get ready to swoon over Eat Bulaga’s Kalyeserye darlings Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards as they visit Cebu today to promote their first solo movie set to hit the cinemas next month.
The “Imagine You and Me” stars will be at Gaisano Island Mactan for a Kapuso Mall Show today to meet and greet their fans here in Cebu. They will have a show at the mall’s parking lot at 6 p.m.
On Thursday, Cebuano fans can also get a glimpse of Alden and Maine at the Coca-Cola’s Taste The Feeling Festival at Cebu I.T. Park Garden Block. Also performing in the event are local bands Rocksteddy and Itchyworms, DJ Tom Taus, among others.
“Imagine You and Me,” which will hit cinemas on July 13, is the phenomenal loveteam’s offering to their fans for their first anniversary as a reel couple. Alden and Maine’s character, Yaya Dub “met” via split screen last July 16, 2015.
In the movie which was shot in Como, Italy, Alden plays Andrew while Maine is Gara, who is NBSB (no boyfriend since birth).
Meanwhile, the music video of Maine singing the movie’s theme song (which she also wrote), has earned 2.3 million views and more than 46,000 shares just days after it was uploaded on the Eat Bulaga Facebook page.
