A 23-YEAR-OLD man died after being hit by a 10-wheeler dump truck along the South Road Properties in Barangay Lawaan, Talisay City around 1 p.m. last Sunday. But the dump truck driver sped off, leaving the victim, Jubert Gonzaga lying on the pavement.
SPO1 Junard Chiong of Talisay City police traffic division said the victim, a resident of Barangay Langtad, Naga City who worked at the Mactan Export Processing Zone, was heading north on board his motorcycle when he was hit from behind by the dump truck with plate number JBY 127.
SPO1 Chiong said they already coordinated with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) and found out that truck was registered under Borja Mining and Trading Corp. The driver has not surrendered yet as of this writing.
