FORMER Cebu City mayor Michael Rama threatened to file libel charges against anyone who accused him of being a drug user.
“They have smeared our reputation and definitely affected many of my supporters,” Rama said. But he would not yet say who are the people behind these rumors.
Rama joined the oath-taking of Team Rama allies led by re-electionist Vice Mayor Edgar Labella inside the Rama Compound.
Cebu City Councilor Joy Pesquera, the mayor’s former girlfriend, said she and other Team Rama lawyers are helping Rama gather evidence that would support the filing of libel charge against his detractors.
