THE 6th edition of the St. Ignatius Run will unfold on July 24 at the SM Seaside in the South Road Properties (SRP).

Organized by Batch 1991 of the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu, the run will have the Khyte Foundation Inc., as benificiary and will have categories – men and women’s 21-kilometer, 12k, 6k, 3k and 1k, with finishers getting a medal.

“This is the first time for the St. Ignatius Run to give out finisher’s medal in all categories. As a runner myself, getting a finisher’s medal is already a big reward,” said Dexter Go, one the race’s organizers during yesterday’s press launch at Casino Español.

Kyhte Foundation Inc., is a nonprofit, non-stock organization that aims to improve the quality of life of children with cancer by helping them during and after their treatment.

Race director Joel Baring of Sports and Fitness Enthusiasts (Safe) said cash prizes will be given to the 21k, 12k, 6k, and 3k winners amounting to P35,000.

Organizers are inviting SHS-AdC students and alumni, running clubs, runners and those competing in the Ironman 70.3 Philippines to join the race.

Registration is ongoing at Runnr Store at Ayala Center Cebu, Toby’s at SM City Cebu and SM Seaside. Online registration is available at race.ph.
